Expositie op de tast
Sculpturen en voelschilderijen voor en door mensen met een visuele beperking

Een dame zonder visueel geheugen ervaart haar omgeving door te luisteren en om zich heen te tasten. Haar waarneming is even onbegrijpelijk voor ziende mensen als het voor haar is om zich voor te stellen hoe onze visuele wereld eruit ziet. Hoe mooi is het als zij de geluiden om haar heen omzet in tactiele kleurrijke vertalingen
en zo haar verhaal vertelt aan de wereld? Zo kan zij ons een kijkje geven in haar wereld waarin beelden onbekend zijn.
Tijdens het Closed Eyes Festival is er een expositie van sculpturen en voelschilderijen van blinde en slechtziende mensen. Beeldend kunstenaar Jofke® zal ook enkele van haar sculpturen exposeren en voelschilderijen die zijn gemaakt met Taktila®, een voelbaar kleurensysteem dat zij ontwikkelde. Wie de 15 Taktila® kleuren in de vingers krijgt, kan op de tast kleuren communiceren en er door middel van replica’s achter komen hoe bestaande schilderijen er in kleur, compositie en gelaagdheid uitzien. Laat je inspireren door ‘kunst kijken op de tast’. Een doorlopende expositie in het kader van Eerst zien dan geloven’ tijdens het Closed Eyes Festival.

Exposition by touch
Sculptures and tactile paintings for and by visually impaired people

A lady with no visual memory experiences her surroundings by listening and groping around herself. Her perception is as incomprehensible to sighted people as it is to her to imagine what our visual world looks like. How beautiful is it when she transforms the sounds surrounding into tactile, colourful translations?
In this way she can give us a glimpse into her world in which images are unknown.
During the Closed Eyes Festival there will be an exhibition of sculptures and tactile paintings of blind and partially sighted people. Visual artist Jofke® will also exhibit some of her sculptures and feel paintings made with Taktila®, a palpable colour system she developed. Anyone who gets to grips with the 15 Taktila® colours will be able to communicate colours by touch and use replicas to find out what existing paintings look like in terms of colour, composition and layering. Be inspired by 'looking at art by touch'. A continuous exhibition in the context of 'Seeing first then believing' during the Closed Eyes Festival.
