This workshop uses images from nature to explore different qualities of touch. Starting from hands-on work to communicate with different systems of the body, we will focus our attention on the type of touch that arises from being in tune with certain ‘minds’ of the body. Once finding clarity in how our hands can talk directly to the skin and skeleton of others, we begin to explore some dances that can arise from this.
We will also experiment with the tone of our touch, sometimes pressing deeply into the structure and shape of the body, other times floating lightly on the surface of the skin. By exploring this this tactile information we discover blueprints for dancing together through touch.
Workshop is suitable for sighted and non-sighted people. No previous dance experience is required, only the intention to listen deeply and communicate through touch and movement.
